A national firm that works like a neighbor

CLA is the brand of CliftonLarsonAllen LLP: CPAs, consultants and wealth advisors who run the firm as a virtual headquarters, with offices in the communities its clients call home.

Purpose

Create opportunities for clients, for its own people and for the communities they share.

Promise

Know you, and help you.

The firm, by its own count

Nearly 9,000 people, more than 120 U.S. locations and more than 200,000 clients across 16 industries: one firm, run from a virtual headquarters.

Five values, in plain words

The values CLA names for itself, with what each one looks like across a desk.

  • Curious

Asking the next question before a client has to.

  • Collaborative

Bringing in the right colleague instead of working alone.

  • Transparent

Plain answers, including the ones that are hard to hear.

  • Inclusive

Room for every client, colleague and point of view.

  • Reliable

Doing what was promised, when it was promised.

Four advantages CLA builds on

  • Deep industry specialization

Teams are organized around 16 industries, so your advisors bring context from businesses like yours to every engagement.

  • Seamless, integrated capabilities

Wealth advisory, digital, audit, tax, consulting and outsourcing sit under one roof and answer to one relationship.

  • A premier resource for private businesses

Privately held companies, and the owners and families behind them, are the clients the firm is built around.

  • Inspired careers

CLA asks its people to design careers around what they do best, and believes clients are better served for it.

Beyond the client work

Reach beyond the United States

CLA is an independent network member of CLA Global, an international organization of independent accounting and advisory firms. When a client's business crosses a border, the network connects it with independent firms abroad.

The CLA Foundation

Established in 2015, the CLA Foundation is a private 501(c)(3) funded solely by donations from CLA's own people.

It has granted more than $16.5 million to open career opportunities through education, employment and entrepreneurship. Grant nominations come from CLA people; the foundation does not take outside proposals.

Recognition

U.S. News & World Report named CLA one of its 2026–2027 Best Companies to Work For, recognizing the firm's internship programs for high school students, college students and its new IGNITE program.

Research

CLA also publishes the CLA Heartbeat Index™, a research program that tracks how business leaders feel about the road ahead.
